By working in conjunction with Service Providers, Local Authorities and similar like minded groups the Partnership aims to make South Moor:



A better area to live in A better area to live in
by providing improved housing a cleaner environment, open spaces for all to enjoy and better access to transport.

by creating a sense of one neighbourhood through a range of initiatives based around community involvement, health, arts, recreation and leisure.

by providing additional access to education and training for residents of all ages.
     
An area for work   An area for work
by encouraging and supporting new and existing businesses, community businesses and providing training for local people.
     
A safer area to live in   A safer area to live in
by improving the safety of those who live in, work in and visit the area by supporting initiatives to reduce crime, the fear of crime, anti-social behaviour and drug abuse.

The Partnership meets on the last Wednesday of each month at the Haven Communal Room, Park Road, South Moor from 7.00pm - All Welcome

Family Fun Day

This year's Fun Day takes place on
Sunday 1st July 2012
11:00-15:00

at South Moor Memorial Park
There is a full programme of FREE activities lined up.

We are bidding for funds for next year's Fun Day at the 'Its Up 2 U' event on Saturday 26th May at the Louisa Centre
If you want to keep the Fun Day free then please come along and vote for us between 10 and 2 on the day


Neighbourhood Watch

The Neighbourhood Watch is now combined with Durham PACT (Police and Communities Together)

The next meeting is on Monday:
21st May 2012
at 7:00pm in the Chapel School room.
This is an opportunity to make YOUR views known to the police.
